The amazing country of Nepal is considered to be one of the most diverse, scenic nations of our world. Steamy jungles of the south, give rise to a heartland of terraced hills and valleys, that lead up to breathtaking mountain ranges that are home to some of the highest peaks in the world, including Mount Everest.

Yet with all of the stunning beauty, Nepal is one of the least developed countries of the world. Suffering from years of civil unrest and a lack of resources, Nepal struggles to provide essential services to its people.

ADRA Canada began working in Nepal in 1992 with programs that brought health, water, sanitation, education and agriculture to some of the most marginalized people, including leper colonies!

ADRA Canada continues to work in Nepal today, especially in response to natural disasters such as floods and the 2015 earthquake. To learn more about our work in Nepal, checkout some of the following article and video posts.
